Thinking In, and Not Thinking In Sets

Warfield gives brief description of his Domain of Science model, and argues that, if people are not thinking in sets, they make prototypical mistakes that propagate throughout society.

Bill Livingston asked Warfield to write a column for a newsletter which he was starting. This manuscript was the first column from Warfield. Warfield's original title was "Thinking in Sets" and it was written and sent to Bill Livingston on 11 March 1992. Livingston changed the title to "Thinking IN, and NOT THINKING IN Sets." Warfield gives brief description of his Domain of Science model, and states: "If people don't think in sets, they make certain prototypical mistakes, and these mistakes often propagate throughout a segment of society, or in some instances through9out the world....What would our government look like, if elected officials practiced thinking in sets?" This was the first issue of a Newsletter started by Bill Livingston.
