This is the book "Understanding Complexity, 2002" in a PDF File. The digitized book manuscript has an extra blank page (p. 217) which shouldn’t be there, thus causing the index to be inaccurate in some parts of the book. The page count in the published book is 268 pages, while the page count for Understanding Complexity: Thought and Behavior ( alternate filename UC-TANDB-bookmaster.pdf) is 269 pages. I suppose sometime someone can EDIT the 2004 PDF file to get rid of that blank page 217, then the index would match the text. We don’t have the software to do that sort of thing. This pdf file was created by Warfield 27 April 2004 for purpose of sending a digital copy to Bookmasters in hopes they might publish or reissue it somehow as a hard cover volume. I forget what the situation was, maybe Bookmasters was actually a vanity press. Can't recall. Anyhow nothing ever came of it. Warfield sent the UC-TANDB-bookmaster.pdf file on a CD to BOOKMASTERS, 2541 Ashland Road, Mansfield, OH 44905 in April 2004, hoping they might do some sort of publishing job for him, but he never heard a thing from them. This pdf file is one of only two* computer files which are the REAL FINAL versions and regrettably neither of them is an exact match for the published book. Both computer documents have BLANK pages which shouldn’t be there, thus throwing the final page count off which means that the INDEX on the computer documents will be wrong. In some places the page numbers in the index won't match the page numbers in the text.
