The Work Program of Complexity: From Origins to Outcomes: Presentation

A list of the transparencies, many of which were used during presentation at the Third Annual Industrial & Systems Engineering Conference, ITESM, Chihuahua Branch Campus, 21 March 1996. The transparencies were later printed as an IASIS monograph, organized by the following SEVEN topics: Philosophy; Attributes of Complexity and its Relationship with Poor productivity in Organizations; Measuring complexity; Portraying/Describing Complexity; Behavior; Case Information/Examples; Educational Change

The filename cow068 is a list of the transparencies, many of which were used in the Chihuahua presentation. ALL of these transparencies were later printed as an IASIS monograph, organized by the following SEVEN topics: Philosophy; Attributes of Complexity and its Relationship with Poor productivity in Organizations; Measuring complexity; Portraying/Describing Complexity; Behavior; Case Information/Examples; Educational Change. We sent a copy of this report to GMU, it is in Box 11, Folder 37, but home copy is missing. I HAVE SEARCHED THE OFFICE LOOKING FOR THE ORIGINAL MASTER MANUSCRIPT OF THIS MONOGRAPH, BUT I CAN'T FIND IT. ALSO, ALL OF THE PRINTED COPIES ARE GONE. We do not have any copies of this monograph, nor even a master copy. If we wanted to reconstruct the monograph, it would be necessary to reassemble it from file cow68 (a list of approx.41 separate files, which ought to be somewhere on Warfield's computer) The titles on the list IN COW068 might not correspond exactly to what is printed as a title on the computer file. Warfield scribbled this list when collecting and selecting transparencies for the talk, and he often did not use exact titles, but wrote referential or descriptive titles instead.

Below is Rose's list of the transparencies, copied from the printed manual and saved in her BIBLWIN DATABASE: PART 1. PHILOSOPHY, Kant: EnlightenmentPHW08; Peirce: The Observer and the ObservedPHW14.
