George J. Friedman to John Warfield

George Friedman explains what his job was with Northrup Corporation, and what he believed caused the failures of new systems and technologies in final testing stage. Friedman discusses his experience as chief technical officer at Northrup, where his job was to review the failures of new systems and technologies ads they were going through their final test phases. Concludes that the failures stemmed from an inability to comprehend complex problems.

In a one page fax addressed to John Warfield, George Friedman explains what his job was with Northrup Corporation, and what he believed caused the failures of new systems and technologies in final testing stage. Friedman discusses his experience s as chief technical officer at Northrup, where his job was to review the failures of new systems and technologies ads they were going through their final test phases. He believes the failures were because "we have the illusion that we can comprehend a complex problem....but we are really limited. He mentions Richard Moore’s book titled Over 1000 Physics Formulae and his development of his "Friedman rule."
