Group Design Laboratory: Use and Features

This is a descriptive list of what had been available and in use at 227 Thompson Hall, where the Demosophia room had been operative at Center for Interactive Management George Mason University during the six year span from 1984 until 1990. This document was a companion piece to "Proposal: Demosophia Type Situation Room Construction at George Mason University."

Sent to GMU 27 September 2007. This document is part of a series having a group title DEMOSOPHIA FLOOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. Warfield looked at this in August 2007 and says it must be something he wrote, or maybe Ben Broome did it, but he can't recall. This is a descriptive list of what had been available and in use at 227 Thompson Hall, where the Demosophia room had been operative at Center for Interactive Management George Mason University during the six years from 1984 until 1990. The Center for Interactive Management came to an end in January 1990, leaving no suitably equipped meeting space available for continuation of the management workshops and classes advocated by Warfield. "Group Design Laboratory" was written as a companion piece for Warfield's formal proposal submitted June 1995 to Dr, Haynes Director of Public Policy, titled: "Proposal: Demosophia Type Situation Room Construction at George Mason University." A similar proposal was also submitted to GMU President Merton, later the same year. The description of 227 Thompson Hall was included with the proposal in order to give an idea of the extent of what was needed for an effective meeting space Warfield and Ben Broome hoped to get a situation room somewhere on the George Mason University campus to continue Ford work and facilitator training. The Institute of Public Policy and or George Mason University never did support install or equip any kind of situation room of the type requested by Warfield.
