Relating the Blocks of the Cosmic Partition was one of the transparencies used in Warfield's two presentations before Society General Systems Research annual meeting May 27-31, 1985. (On the Choice of Frames for Systems Studies and Some Laws and Principles of Design) A good explanation of the figure can be found in the article "On the Choice of Frames for Systems Studies" Proceedings SGSR Los Angeles, 27-31 May pp. 725-729. and also in Warfield's 1985 paper "Dual-Basis Design." A variation of the figure was published as Figure 1.6 in A Science of Generic Design, 1990, 1994, 2003.
