SEE ALSO the record in Textual Materials table titled "Relating the Blocks of the Cosmic Partition" This presentation package is an Outline of the talk plus a set of 18 transparencies used when the paper was first presented at an SGSR conference in Los Angeles, in May, 1985. As a conference presentation it was titled only: "Some Laws and Principles of Design". Later, when published in the 1985 Proceedings, the same paper had the full title: "Developing A Design Culture in Higher Education: Some Laws and Principles of Design." Warfield's figure titled "Relating the Blocks of the Cosmic Partition" is among these 1985 transparencies. The figure is also in the list of transparencies used for Warfield's conference paper titled "Choice of Frames for Systems Studies." note: Warfield's 2 published papers in the SGSR Proceedings did not contain any of the transparencies used in his talks. As a consequence, his transparency figure titled "RELATING THE BLOCKS OF THE COSMIC PARTITION" WAS NOT PUBLISHED WITH THIS PAPER. Warfield allowed Christakis to use the same figure in a February 1986 presentation at Virginia Beach and later Christakis published the figure as his own, in his paper titled A Cosmology of Design, 1986.
