Dan took this note-binder in box labeled NOTEBINDERS OF WORKS IN PROGRESS to store at his house on 23 June 2013. Designing the Horizons College was the caption on the outside of a white note binder filled with 5 documents plus a reference bibliography. I want all 5 documents to remain together, as a collection, since Warfield originally placed them in the note binder for that purpose. The papers seem to date from around 2006. That was the year that Warfield was creating his “obstacles” series on higher education, a group of articles which he hoped to get published, but was unsuccessful in the attempt. The 5 documents do not begin to fill the large note binder which has a 3 inch spine. Warfield intended to add papers to this note-binder, but never got around to it. The titles of the 5 documents are: Draft 1– Obstacles to Systems Science Programs in Higher Education Part 1: Overview; Draft 2 – Obstacles to Systems Science Programs in Higher Education Part II: Dimensionality and Problematique; Draft 3 – The Architecture of Systems Learning; Draft 4 – Metrics of Complexity: Toward the Union of Systems, Cybernetics, and Complexity; Draft 5 –The Leaning Tower of Ivory; Aggregated References-Last Updated: 30 April 2006 (10:11am); SEE ALSO: Horizons College in Systems Design, a Proposal
Some but probably not all of these documents are on DVD 2 of 2, donated by Warfield to Special Collections at GMU. DVD 2 of 2 is in Box 96 folder 6 at Fenwick Library in Warfield Special Collection The 3-ring note-binder is at Dan's house. Dan took it with other papers in brown storage boxes July 2013. I have found there are several copies of the above titles, on the Hitachi external hard drive and also on my computer and I don't know which is which so can't discard any of them until I get them together so I can compare them.
