MY CRUSADES

A folder on Warfield’s last computer that contained his correspondence during the last years. The majority of it consisted of his continued effort to spread his work. See also, "Elucidation" which is an itemized list of the letters along with a brief description for each.

My Crusades is a folder from John’s last computer holding approximately 80 documents, most of it correspondence, letters and emails. The My Crusades files reflect Warfield’s activity during the last few years; much of it was a continued battle for recognition of his work. He never won the battle. He certainly realized that the chances were almost nil that any one of these letters would bring a response. But he kept on knocking on all the doors anyway. Nothing ever came of any of these letters except a gradual wearing down of the letter writer. Warfield intended to send all these items to GMU, as a special correspondence collection named My Crusades. Warfield was going to send by email attachment, a few at a time, to Robert Vay in GMU Special Collections. In March 2009 Robert Vay set up an email account at GMU for Warfield’s use to send the documents. The year 2009 was not a good year. I don’t believe any of the My Crusades files were shipped. The special email account was <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.>. I don't know if that email account still active or not. R. circa 2013.
