Some Personal Experiences in Academia: Left Unpublished but Affecting Proposals for Action

Written while in retirement, this document recounts some of Warfield’s frustrating experiences in his teaching and professional career. In each instance, Warfield believed a better system of administration would have significantly helped.

Warfield wrote this at the end of his career, 8 years after retirement and about a year before he died. This six page document recounts some of Warfield's frustrating experiences in his teaching and professional career, all of them situations which he felt would not have occurred had there been better system of administration in the institutions in which he worked. It was sent as an email attachment to George Klir the journal editor who was considering the publication of Warfield's paper Creating an Interactive Systems Science Program in Higher Education. Warfield did not name any of the locations involved in his memo, but I think I could name most of them, given a chance.
