The Leaning Tower of Ivory

A critique of the lowering standards of higher education in the United States.

THE LEANING TOWER OF IVORY A one-page paper by Warfield copy of which  found stored for  resource material in two different unfinished "New Book" Note-binders. One book title was to be Designing the Horizons College, the other was to be Evolution of Systems Science. In this paper Warfield is complaining about the lowering standards for higher education found in today's universities and colleges Warfield probably had the file for Leaning Tower of Ivory on his computer somewhere, so we made a scan and pdf file of the single page for this database entry.

WELL GUESS WHAT , IN THE YEAR 2016 I ACTUALLY FOUND IN JOHN'S OLD COMPUTER FILES,  a six page document with the filename: "Leaning Tower of Ivory (6).wpd"  dated July 18, 2006. The WordPerfect file contained  the same one page document  found in the year 2012, and also 5 more pages.  Apparently it is the  PAPER THAT HE INTENDED TO WRITE.  Since it is only 6 typed pages, it is better described as an unfinished paper, or perhaps something planned as a book chapter.

I CAN'T DATE THE SIX PAGE PAPER.  The wordperfect file has the date  July 18  2006, but John's references at end of the article list titles published in 1996 or earlier. Since John's computer file has the date 2006, I will have to date it approximately 2006 but it was probably all written around 1996 or 1998, actually.  Who knows?  The  July 2006 WordPerfect document has the following divisions:     1) PAGE 1,  THE OUTLINE, SAME AS THE PDF DOCUMENT I FOUND AND SCANNED IN 2012.   2) ABSTRACT  3) INCENTIVES VERSUS CRITERIA,     4) HOW BELIEF IS FIXED: THE OPEN WING VERSUS THE CLOSED WING     5) HAYEK AND SCIENTISM.
