Review of a proposed book on systems engineering methodology

Warfield included this book review in an email to Cihan Dagli in November 2006. Part of an ongoing correspondence between Warfield and Dagli about Warfield’s consideration of moving to University of Missouri, Rolla’s Systems Department. See notes field for text of communication.

Warfield sent a copy of this book review to Cihan Dagli in November 2006, as part of an ongoing correspondence when Warfield was thinking of moving to Dagli's systems department at U of Missouri, Rolla. In the end, we didn't move, but the email cements the date that Warfield wrote this book review. Here is a copy of Warfield's email message to Cihan: "Subj: DISPLAY OF BIASES Date: 11/17/20069: 14:49 A.M. Central Standard Time From: Jnwarfield To: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Dear Dr. Dagli: It is good that you should learn my biases right away. For this purpose, I sent you portions of a book review that I did last May, disguising the author's name and location. John Warfield." I do not know the name of the author, nor of the publisher for whom Warfield did the review. I imagine I will find out sometime in some other file or paper left in these boxes, but maybe not. Even not knowing the book under discussion one can get a good blast of Warfield's writing style on certain subjects. R.w. 7/9/2012
