The New Systems Language

Unfinished manuscript with handwritten edits. As part of his campaign to reform higher education using the tools of Systems Science, Warfield proposes a series of three papers: the first would directed to the negatives of the current state of higher education, the second would be directed to the positives, and the third would integrate both the positive and negatives as a way of creating a program of action. Printouts of the PowerPoint presentation “Foucault’s Space of Discourse” are attached.

Abstract by author: "It would be highly desirable to map the dimensions of the global morass onto higher education, with systems science serving as a mediating influence on proposed systems programs, since the political systems do produce only low quality actions of no lasting utility. …I propose to present a sequence of 3 papers…the first paper will be directed at the negatives of the situation. The second will be directed to the positives. The third paper will integrate the negatives and positives in a program of action for mapping the dimensions of the global morass into higher education through an add-on called the Horizons College." The unfinished manuscript found at home has Warfield's hand written edits, and also has four figure pages attached which are printouts of a PowerPoint file named MTU67 Foucault’s Space of Discourse. Another three-page WordPerfect file in same folder is named: NouveauLingustics.wpd, has no edits just the manuscript typed. It is still an incomplete manuscript, however, even with the edits and figures, but it has potential. R. W. circa 2012
