Seven Ways to Portray Complexity: Abstract

An abstract of a presentation titled “Seven Ways to Portray Complexity” which was presented for the George Washington University Notational Engineering Laboratory Seminar on 28 February 1996.

These two pages were used in two different reports under two different titles - first written as the introduction to a 1996 Report consisting chiefly of transparencies and used a second time in a manuscript collection of essays. The 2 pages appeared first in 1996 as Pages 1 and 3 of a 32 page report titled “Seven Ways to Portray Complexity” a manual of printed transparencies compiled for a talk given by Warfield for George Washington University Notational Lab in Washington D.C. on 28 February 1996. Later he used the same two pages as part of his manuscript ESSAYS ON COMPLEXITY Part 3, August 1997, where they have the page numbers 173 and 175. Both the report handout for his talk, and the manuscript of the essays are in Warfield special collection at George Mason University. (Box 11 Folder 30 and Box 36 Folder 30)
