I already have a database entry for the typewritten transcript of the interview, in Textual Materials table. I SHOULD ALSO HAVE A DATABASE RECORD OF THE AUDIOS. NOT STARTED YET. THE VIDEOS AREN'T HERE. I HAVEN'T DONE THEM YET. I DO HAVE OTHER DOCUMENTS LISTING ITEMS SENT TO GMU, BUT I HAVE NOT YET ENTERED THOSE VIDEO AND AUDIO ITEMS AS DATA INTO THIS DATABASE. OH DEAR. As of this date (in February 2007), the only place to find records of Warfield papers and audiovisuals sent to GMU is on my home computer, and ONLY in the folder: John Warfield PapersGMU Library Holdings. OH DEAR.
Anyway, to continue AND MAYBE CATCH UP, SOMETIME: This record is for audio recordings of the Preguntas interview, which I think are important to keep track of. These Audio Tapes were sent to GMU either in year 2000, or some time afterward, I don't recall the date I got them, as a replacement sound track, from Roxana Cardenas. The audiotapes were created because when I began typing a transcript of the interview, several years after it was made, I discovered that the sound track had been corrupted on Tape 2 of the Video. Fortunately, Cardenas, in Mexico had copies of the video interview. We waited until the next trip Warfield had scheduled to Monterrey, and then borrowed Cardenas's video to get copies of the sound track. Cardenas offered to get us a copy of both her videos, but that would have been quite expensive, and difficult to get accomplished in the short time we were in Monterrey. We already had perfectly good pictures on our own tape, and only one of our two cassettes had a bad sound track. So Cardenas got the AV department at ITESM to do an audio tape copy from her videotape, which worked just fine. I got my transcript finished, and we have printed it and put it away with the video cassettes and the audio tapes. I notice that in the GMU Special Collection the tapes, the videos and the transcript have all been separated, but if anybody cares enough they can get them out. Videos are in Box 55, Audio tapes are in Box 52, and the Transcript manuscript is in Box 50, Folder 26. (r.w., 2/26/2007)
Note: I did get the videotapes all databased finally, much later (r.w. 3-25-2016)
