ALSO, HERE IS MY 2007 NOTE REGARDING AN AUDIOTAPE OF THE VIDEO, I AM COPYING IT AGAIN HERE: When I began typing a transcript of the interview, several years after it was made, I discovered that the sound track had been corrupted on Tape 2 of the Video. Fortunately, Roxana Cardenas, in Mexico had copies of the video interview. We waited until the next trip Warfield had sch

eduled to Monterrey, and then borrowed Cardenas's video to get copies of the sound track. Cardenas offered to get us a copy of both her videos, but that would have been quite expensive, and difficult to get accomplished in the short time we were in Monterrey. We already had perfectly good pictures on our own tape, and only one of our two cassettes had a bad sound track. So Cardenas got the AV department at ITESM to do an audio tape copy from her videotape, which worked just fine. I got my transcript finished, and we have printed it and put it away with the video cassettes and the audio tapes. I notice that in the GMU Special Collection the tapes, the videos and the transcript have all been separated, but if anybody cares enough they can get them out. Videos are in Box 55, Audio tapes are in Box 52, and the Transcript manuscript is in Box 50, Folder 26. r.w., 2/26/2007

PS: I CHECKED THE FINDING AID IN OCTOBER 2012 AND FIND THAT NOW ONLY ONE VIDEOTAPE of the Preguntas intervew is listed, NOT TWO, THAT THE VIDEOTAPE AT GMU IS LISTED AS TAPE 2 OF 2 OF The INTERVIEW. BUT THE FINDING AID STILL LISTS AUDIO CASSETTES FOR BOTH TAPES 1 AND 2 OF THE VIDEOS. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT HERE, EITHER THE VIDEOCASSETTE TAPE 1 IS LOST, WHICH WAS THE GOOD TAPE, OR IT IS SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE LIBRARY. ONLY WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO GO TO FENWICK LIBRARY AND HUNT. Also I have data from old finding aid which I made copies years ago. The old finding aid does list both tapes but spells Cardenas's name wrong but also gives 1989 as the date, which is wrong. That error has been corrected and now the new finding aid lists only one video, but at least with the correct date, which is definitely 1991, not 1989. r.w. 23 October 2012.
