This paper is missing from PAPERS BY OTHERS FILE CABINET Abstract: Participative problem-solving is a necessity when dealing with complex situations, awareness of this fact has resulted in the implementation of different participative schemes in Mexican organizations. However, very often Mexican organizational culture exhibits specific behaviours that tend to prevent the establishment of a true open participative process. The authors have been working with the Interactive Management Design Methodology in Mexico in many different organizational settings, and with it have experienced the possibilities of promoting an open atmosphere in problem-solving.
