General Comments and Ideas on The Handbook of Interactive Management

In 1991, Roxana, (Professor and Department Chairman A. Cardenas, Instituto Technologico de Monterrey, Mexico) was a visiting scholar at John's Institute of Advanced Study in the Integrative Sciences in Fairfax, and had an opportunity to read Warfield's first printing of the Handbook. In this paper, she makes many suggestions for the improvement and reorganization of John's Handbook of Interactive Management. Her comments were particularly valuable because they were from the standpoint of the foreign scholars with whom John hoped to communicate his ideas, and possibly would not have been able to do so as effectively because of language barriers. Warfield adopted all or nearly all of Roxana's suggestions, as far as I know, and requested her collaboration on the rewriting of the manuscript for the next edition. When the book was published she was named as co-author. Roxana's originally written computer file is missing, but we have a printout of her file. Also we have a digitized, SCANNED copy which Rose made of her printout. It is quite likely that Roxana's original paper is still somewhere on John's computer. If her computer file is ever found, Rose will discard the scanned version, and put Roxana's own computer file in its place. R.W., Jan 2001.
