It is just the short front part of a much larger document, a report which is misplaced. We hope to find it later,[we did find it, see also ID 288, r.w.. 9/29/2015] because this is the DSMC Workshop for which we have a complete set of ten videotapes. The ten videotapes are in Warfield Special Collection, in Box 66 under the title "Technical Managers Advanced Workshops," (The larger complete report TMAW 91-2 REPORT is 16 pages, plus over 70 pages of appendices. It has the same title as above: "Techinical Managers Advanced Workshops 91-2" . I HOPE WE FIND IT There is something called TMAW Magazine 1991 in Special Collection Box 25, folder 20, that might be the larger report, but I can't tell from this distance.) This is the annotation for the workshop. Results from ten previous Defense Department (Acquisition) workshops were combined in a single problematique to produce a structured view of the problems in the Defense Acquisitions. In addition, a set of suggestions was generated aimed at improving the Acquisition process, and ameliorating some of the problem areas. Workshop participants names are listed, and all of the problem statements. None of the DSMC staff who conducted the workshop are named. But it is known that the principal facilitator and workshop planner for these as well as other defense acquisition workshops was Professor Henry Alberts of DSMC. Henry preferred to maintain a low profile in all of this work, due to the political sensitivity of the acquisition problems. ====== NOTE, added September 2011. The best keyword search for the DSMC workshops is "Technical Managers Advanced Workshop" GMU has several documents under that general title, with or without the added keyword of "DSMC" HERE AT HOME I FOUND A COPY OF THE COMPLETE REPORT FOR THE 1991 JUNE-JULY WORKSHOPS WHEN GOING THROUGH OLD BOXES OF PAPERS. THIS MIGHT BE THE SAME AS THE DOCUMENT IN BOX 25, FOLDER 20, MENTIONED ABOVE, I DON'T THINK SO - BUT I CAN'T BE SURE. I PLACED MY FIND IN A BOX OF THINGS TO TRY TO DONATE TO GMU IF THEY ARE INTERESTED IN HAVING ANY MORE STUFF. BECAUSE THE 1991 REPORT IS SO VALUABLE, HAVING THAT COMPLETE SET OF VIDEOTAPES TO ACCOMPANY IT IT IS REALLY A GOOD FIND. R.w., 9/16/2011 NOTE: Yes, I did get more stuff sent to GMU including the large report, which is now on record in this Access db in By Others table 288, I asked GMU to put the large report into the same folder as the Executive Summary, Box 91, Folder 10.
