Structure of the Twenty Laws of Complexity
Summary: Pending
Used as Figure 4-1 in John's book Understanding Complexity
The date on this cell is unknown at present but must have been created prior to February 1999 because that is the date I recorded it in BIBL, using a list which John called "NewCells1999"
Twenty laws are subdivided in a chart to three components: Behavior-Based (70%), Media-Based (10%) and Mathematics-Based (30%). The Behavior-based component is subdivided again in hanging lower boxes, as Habitual, Physiological, Organizational. Legend on the figure:" Five of the 20 Laws fall into more than one category. That is why the percentages shown here do not add to 100%." This legend is changed slightly from the original cell, in the 1999 cell collection, where the legend was "Just 15 of the 20 Laws fall into only one category. That is why the percentages shown here exceed 100%." John must have changed the legend when he used the figure in his book Understanding Complexity,

OLD ANNOTATION FROM BIBL:
The figure consists of seven graphics boxes, six of which are subsidiary of the top box labelled "Twenty Laws of Complexity". In the first row beneath the top are three boxes, labelled "Behavior-based" 'Media-based" and "Mathematics-based". Three remaining boxes are all subsidiary of only the Behavior-based box. In a separate box is the legend: Just 15 of the 20 Laws fall into only one category. That is why the percentages shown here exceed 100%.
