Advances in Generic Design Science

Collection of documents on Generic Design related to an unfinished project and/or produced as Warfield began to write A Science of Generic Design. Includes documents entitled “Structure of Precedence of Papers on Design,” “Concepts for Structuring Large Systems,” “Recent Works,” “Questions Answered by Papers on Design” and “Advances in Generic Design Science.”

A proposal to The Software Productivity Consortium that explores of the defects of the ADA software language. Involves study of its syntax and suggests that Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) techniques would help create a higher-order software language free of ADA defects. Part 1 of 2.

Talk given that discusses the need for management to be responsive to the “17 Laws of Complexity” by use of structural models and good group processes. Explanation of how Interactive Management support system utilizes these strategies. Presented at Association of Industrial Engineers (Mexico) Industrial & Systems Engineering Symposium, Mexico City, D.F., 22 October 1994. See also, the Institute for the Advanced Study of Integrative Sciences (IASIS) report titled "Origins & Remedies for Situational Complexity in Organizations” which includes transparencies used for talk.

2+2=5 a short paper

Deals with ethics taught as part of curriculum of engineering education. Submitted to IEEE SPECTRUM.

An index of Warfield’s documents divided into categories that he developed. The categories are Infrastructure of Science, Sciences, Applications of Science and Organization (The Site of Application of Science). Within each category there are also subfields. Also includes the physical description (transparencies, bibliographies, books, courses, papers, proposals and reports) and whether they are part of a work-in-progress.
