Memo Book: Ford Visit 19-21 October1998

Handwritten notes by Warfield during this consulting trip to Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Michigan 19-21 October1998. Includes information on airline schedules, names of persons he contacted at Ford and notes on an ISM session which was run at that time. Occurred during the final part of a two-week program on how to reduce the number of standardized manufacturing platforms used for Ford vehicles.



This Small green memo book with spiral wire binding contains handwritten notes by Warfield during this consulting trip to Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Michigan 19-21 Oct. 1998. He has made notes of airline schedules, names of persons he contacted at Ford, notes on an ISM session which was run at that time. Warfield told me that his three days there was the final part of a two week program at Ford in which the topic was how to reduce the number of standardized manufacturing platforms used for Ford vehicles. Warfield was by this time close to retirement, and as it turned out, this was his last consulting trip to Ford. I have hunted around for a Ford report covering this meeting. I am sure there was one written, but can't spot it either here at home or in the lists of Ford titles already in Warfield Special Collection. (Ford started classifying reports as "confidential" around this time, so possibly we never had it) So all there is, is this little green notebook.)
