Found in Warfield's papers, this 1985 typewritten paper was scanned along with a copy of Warfield's published paper "Notes on Conceptual Science, and the two documents are saved together in this single PDF FILE. (Warfield's 1978 paper "Notes on Conceptual Science" was given as a reference for the typewritten manuscript, so Rose just put them both together when scanning.) This typed manuscript might have been the beginning of Warfield's Domain of Science paper which was published in 1986. It is plainly a draft manuscript, with the word OUTLINE at the top of page 1 above the title, also the paragraphs or topical divisions in the nine-page document are numbered, from 1 to 12. In this paper, Warfield makes the suggestion that the common practice of referring to subdivisions of human knowledge as "disciplines" be replaced with the term "domains of science." The only figure page of this manuscript is separately marked "JNW 11/26/1985. The figure is a graphic portrayal of the relations between four fields of a science in which the four fields are named Conceptual Space, Theory, Methodology and Applications. The title of the figure is "A STRUCTURE FOR CIRCULAR INTEGRATION OF A SCHOLARLY DOMAIN." The figure is identical to Figure 1 printed six months later in Warfield's May 1986 paper presented at Annual Meeting Society for General systems Research in Philadelphia, and published in the SGSR 1986 proceedings under the title: A DOMAIN OF SCIENCE MODEL FOR GENERIC DESIGN, SHOWING THE INTERPRETATION OF LINKS AS PURPOSES SERVED.
