Transcript of Lecture 2, Resolving Complexity in Organizations

This was the second in a series of 14 class sessions taught by Warfield in Spring Semester 1999. The videotapes which match this transcript are in Box 68 of Warfield Special Collections, listed in the Finding Aid as “Discovery and Complexity, February 6, 1999. Tape 1 of 2.”  and “Discovery and Complexity, February 6, 1999. Tape 2 of 2.”

This was the second in a series of 14 class sessions taught by Warfield in Spring Semester 1999. It is a rough draft of a transcript typed by Rose Warfield. GMU has the videotape for this lecture, but not this transcript which as far as I know was never printed and sent to Special Collections, but remains on Rose's computer.

NOTE: Rose made notes on Warfield's lectures and saved computer files on all of the tapes, but transcribed verbatim only two. Some of the other audio of this class is really good, and written transcriptions all 21 videos would be a nice thing to have, to accompany the videos, if anyone ever had the time to do it. To locate the other items connected to this course under a variety of titles, please see “Resolving Complexity in Organizations.” R.w. 23 October 2012
