Klir was editor of the journal which published "Systems Movement: Autobiographical Retrospectives, Discovering Systems Science" the very nice autobiographical article that Warfield wrote in 2003. Also Klir published other articles by Warfield, and would have published more were it not for difficulties getting referee approval. One article which Warfield wanted to publish very much did not get printed for that reason. When talking about it later, I remember Warfield's comments. Warfield himself had been an editor, of two journals. I have seen him caught between referee and author in his own editing experience. I remember him saying "You can't go against your referees. An editor has to respect the referee. That is what a peer review means." r.w. 19 February 2013 PS I think I probably sent a copy of this to GMU in the April 2013 boxed shipment of papers.
