Interactive Management Video, Defense Systems Management College

THIS RECORD 10052 SHOULD BE DELETED, BUT ROSE WILL NOT DO SO, LEAVE FOR TOM SO HE CAN UPDATE HIS DELETION RECORDS.   ROSE  MERGED THIS 10052 RECORD INTO ID 10262 ON 5/31/2017, BECAUSE IT WAS A DUPLICATE EXCEPT FOR FORMAT.

This video describes the experiences and processes encountered by persons who participate in an Interactive Management session, by use of film clips from a July 1991 Interactive Management workshop held at Defense Systems Management College (DSMC) combined with comments from A. Christakis & J.N. Warfield in selected interview segments.

Silent film clips of a DSMC workshop are combined with segments from interviews of John Warfield and of Alexander Christakis. The video was produced by Mary Austin while working on her Master's degree in Communication department at George Mason University. Unfortunately, the sound quality of those interviews is so poor that the comments of the two men are almost unintelligible. The quality of the video film is also poor, insufficient lighting and staging, etc., so that, in spite of a well-written off-screen narration, overall the tape is just not very good. The video is 19 minutes long, but repeated on the same tape. Because it is shown twice, the time in minutes is given as 40 m, 33 sec for the VHS cassette.

There is no MPEG file, but Warfield's home computer does have it digitized in VOB FORMAT suitable for dvd disk.

The VHS cassette is in GMU Library where it can be located by searching Warfield Special Collection for the variant title, which is “DMSC Workshop July 1991, July 1991.”
