Five Interactive Management Videos

Five short videos combined on a single tape. These videos, produced by the Center for Interactive Management, were used as demonstrations or for publicity. Each video shows scenes from Interactive Management (IM) workshops, along with commentary from the workshop clients who describe their reactions to IM methodology. The five videos are: “Redesigning the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) for the 1990's,” “Designing a Computer Science Curriculum for the 21st Century,” “Understanding Defense Systems Acquisition Management (DSAM),” “Consensus on a Winnebago Self-Sufficiency Plan,” and “Moving Toward a Consensus for Nursing in Virginia.”

In combination, these short videos demonstrate the wide range of possible applications for Interactive Management. All of these publicity videos were produced in the 1980’s by Benjamin Broome, with technical help from the George Mason University television department (Capital Connection). Each of these videos was originally in its own separate cassette, a format in which they were distributed to interested persons and several libraries. Later all 5 tapes were combined onto one cassette, for giving out to visitors and interested persons. Later still, Rose got the 5 short videos digitized on a CD and in a MPEG4 format so now they can be viewed online. When played from beginning to end, the videotape takes 107 minutes, because of the time allowed for blank spaces between the five independent segments. George Mason University still has all 5 of the videos as single cassettes, in hard copy. At Warfield Special Collection in Fenwick Library their box number are
