A set of transparencies to accompany “Developing a Design Culture in Higher Education: Some Laws and Principles of Design.” Presented at Annual Meeting Society for General Systems Research, Los Angeles, CA, 27-31 May 1985. Warfield’s figure "Relating the Blocks of the Cosmic Partition" is included.

Dual-Basis Design: Transparencies

Transparencies to accompany the talk "Dual-Basis Design," which was later published in Polish with the title "Dwie Podstawy Projektowania (Dual-Basis Design).” The paper is a discussion of the concept of “due process” in design as a way to identify and monitor responsible management practices, which would lower the rate of catastrophic design failures. Warfield calls for the creation of a basic design science, with standards and practices for large-scale system designers that could become well-defined and legally enforceable over time.

Transparencies to accompany “The Management of Complexity Through Systems Design", ITESM (Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey), a workshop presented during the week 11-15 December 1989, Monterrey, Mexico.

A chronological list of the 59 Interactive Management workshops performed under the auspices of the Defense Systems Management College, Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Paper Warfield authored by was presented by Kenneth J. Butler.

Papers and notes Warfield used in preparation for “ADA Syntax Study and Recommendations: A Proposal to The Software Productivity Consortium, Part I.” Includes handwritten calculations and diagrams. See notes field for further details on this proposal.
